This sweater is inspired by a photo of Nadiia Shapoval. It was taken in Bukovets village, West Ukraine. 'Khata' is translated as ‘house’ from Ukrainian. The house in the Ukrainian tradition is a symbol of happiness, well-being, unity of the family. In ancient times, our ancestors called their home ‘Beregina’ (homemaker), because it protected not only from the cold, from evil, but also preserved the purity of the human soul.
